# Terms of service and refund policy

Effective 1 November 2026

## 1. Service

Solmera provides AI-assisted translation of patent specifications into Korean, checked or reviewed by Korean patent attorneys of BILD IP Law Firm, and Korean patent prosecution services quoted per case.

## 2. Scope of the flat fee

One specification per order, mechanical or electrical field, up to about 20,000 English words (35,000 Japanese or 25,000 Chinese characters). Longer documents or other fields are quoted before work starts and are never billed without your approval.

## 3. Plans

Translation (US$200): AI translation checked by attorneys for completeness, terminology, formatting and claim dependencies. Claim review + AI revision (US$900): an attorney reviews and finalizes the claims against KIPO practice and the AI revises the full specification to match the finalized claims. Neither plan constitutes legal advice on patentability or filing strategy unless separately engaged.

## 4. Delivery

Translation: within 24 hours from receipt of a complete, legible file. Claim review + AI revision: 7 business days. Business days follow the Korean calendar. Delays caused by missing or illegible files extend the date accordingly.

## 5. Refunds

Full refund if you cancel before we deliver. After delivery, we correct quality issues you report within 14 days at no charge, once. Refunds after delivery are not provided except where required by law. Refunds are returned to the original payment method.

## 6. Confidentiality

Your files are handled only by the attorneys and systems needed to perform the work, are not used for model training, and are deleted 14 days after delivery unless you instruct otherwise.

## 7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are subject to the courts of Seoul, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction.
